This Radian Audio replacement diaphragm fits 8 ohm JBL 375H, 376, 2440, 2441, 2445, 2446, 2450 and 2451 compression drivers. It fits most JBL 1.5" and 2" drivers and is made in the USA.
The dome is precision-formed from heat-treated structural aluminum alloy and bonded to a copper-clad aluminum voice coil with a Kapton® former. Its specially developed Mylar® surround provides damping and is designed to reduce fatigue stresses. Proprietary tooling, advanced adhesives and a high-temperature voice coil former support high RMS and peak power levels.
The diaphragm is designed for high efficiency, accurate reproduction and extended bandwidth, with low-distortion, high-fidelity response and excellent transient response. Aluminum has a higher strength-to-weight ratio than titanium. The assembly is designed for clear music and speech in theatrical, auditorium, stadium and church installations, with performance equivalent to or better than the original.
The self-aligning diaphragm/voice coil assembly can be rapidly replaced in the field and installs with the same polarity as the original for accurate alignment. Its power handling, high-frequency performance and reliability make it suitable for loudspeaker repair and sound system applications.
