Mozart’s Requiem Mass in D minor, K. 626 is one of the composer’s most recognizable works and a cornerstone of the choral repertoire.
This vocal/choral score presents the work in a practical format for rehearsal and performance. The piano reduction has been realized by Friedrich Brissler.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) left the work unfinished at his death. He completed the “Introit” movement entirely and sketched the “Kyrie,” “Sequence,” and “Offertorium.” The “Benedictus,” “Agnus Dei,” and “Communio” remained unwritten. Mozart’s student Franz Xaver Süssmayr completed the mass at Constanze’s request in 1792, and that version remains the one most performed today by far.
The orchestral score and parts are available separately.
