The Roosebeck Grace Mountain Dulcimer is a 4-string instrument with a vaulted fretboard for lighter weight and excellent soundboard vibration.
It features an hour glass shape, solid walnut body, neck, nut, bridge, and fret board, plus a spruce soundboard with a charming walnut skirt design on both ends and 4 classic f-hole openings. The tail piece is silver color and shaped like a crown.
This model includes 4 mechanical geared right angle tuners with a 14:1 ratio and 4 strings: 2 melody strings, 1 middle string, and 1 bass drone string. Many tunings will work, and the traditional DAD method is recommended for easy play. Included accessories are a pick, noter, and owner's guide.

Traditionally, mountain dulcimers had three equally spaced strings, but this contemporary 4-string design adds extra notches on the nut for more personalized string patterns. The inside doubled melody string can be removed completely to revert to a traditional 3-string setup, or the inside melody string and the middle string can both be moved over one notch to create equal spacing between all four strings.
