This 7-inch straight Bodhran tipper has knob ends and is suitable for beginners. A tipper is swung back and forth against the Bodhran head to create lively rhythmic patterns; it is also called a bone, beater, or cipin.
Knob-end tippers come in various lengths, and this is the smallest. Choose a length that feels comfortable for your hand size. Comfort and grip vary by tipper design, and different styles can produce different sounds.
Each tipper is made from solid wood and hand-turned on a lathe. The profiles of the ends may vary slightly from the photograph, and the wood color may also vary.
