The Smh SY175 Series 4 AWG 175A breakaway DC power connector is designed for car audio amplifier power, RV and marine applications, and other high-current DC charging circuits. Underwriters Laboratories recognizes SY Series connector compatibility with Anderson Power Products SB® Series connectors. Two pieces are required for operation; this connector is sold individually.
The connector measures 3.13" L x 2.19" W x 1.0" H. Its UL amperage/voltage rating is 175 amps/600 VDC, and its operating temperature range is -20° to 105° C. The 175-amp current rating is specified on 1/0 AWG wire at a 30° C rise. Maximum wire insulation diameter is 0.75"/19 mm.
Other specifications: insulation withstand test voltage of 2200dc; average contact retention force of approximately 300 lbs; average contact resistance of 100 µΩ with 1-3/4" (45 mm) of 1/0 AWG wire; excellent vibration resistance; 10,000 mating cycles for disconnect use only; high impact resistance; protected environmental rating with no hydrocarbon fluids; UL94V-0 flammability rating; and average mating and unmating force of 25 lbs (11.25 kg).
