Tired of cold air and noisy hallways every time you walk past your door?
If your door whistles when the wind picks up, if you can hear every footstep in the corridor, if dust is collecting in the gap under your window — you have a sealing problem. Not a drafty house, not thin walls. A 1–4 mm (1/32–5/32 in) gap that's been there since the door was hung.
This self-adhesive EPDM foam strip closes that gap in five minutes. No tools. No nails. No landlord complaints. Peel, stick, press — and the room goes quiet.
How it works EPDM is a closed-cell rubber foam used in cars and refrigerators because it stays flexible from below freezing to a hot summer afternoon. The strip compresses when the door shuts, fills the gap, and springs back open without losing shape — so the seal works on day one and still works a year later. The adhesive backing is a high-tack acrylic, not a cheap rubber glue, which is why it stays stuck to wood, metal, plastic, and painted frames without lifting at the corners.

Frequently asked questions Will it stick to a metal door frame, or just wood? Both. The acrylic adhesive is engineered for clean metal, wood, plastic, and painted surfaces. Aluminum and steel frames work fine. Just make sure the surface is dust-free before you stick.
How big a gap will it actually seal? Gaps from about 1 mm (1/32 in) up to 4 mm (5/32 in). The 0.4 cm (0.16 in) thickness compresses to fill anything in that range. If your gap is over 5 mm (3/16 in), you'll want a thicker profile — us and we'll point you at the right one.
Will it leave residue or pull paint when I remove it? On most clean, fully cured surfaces — no. Slow peel at a low angle, and warm the strip with a hairdryer if it's been on a year or more. We don't recommend applying it to paint that is less than 30 days old; the paint isn't fully bonded yet and may lift.
Will it stop noise from the hallway? It significantly reduces airborne noise that travels through the gap around your door — voices, footsteps, doors slamming. It's not a soundproof wall; it's a seal. Most of the noise you hear in an apartment travels through the gap, not the door itself, which is why this works.
Is it safe around kids and pets? Yes. The EPDM foam is non-toxic and odorless once . The adhesive is fully covered against the frame, not exposed.
How long does it last? 12+ months in normal indoor use. EPDM is rated for outdoor exposure too, but UV and rain shorten the lifespan on fully exterior installs. Replace when you see permanent compression — i.e. it stops springing back open.
What temperature range does it work in? Roughly −30 °C to +80 °C (−22 °F to +176 °F). The foam stays flexible in winter and doesn't melt in summer sun. This is why it's used in car door seals.
Can I cut it with regular scissors? Yes. Standard household scissors cut clean through it. Cut at corners on a slight angle so the two ends meet flush.
Will 5 m (16.4 ft) be enough for my front door? 5 m (16.4 ft) covers a standard 32 × 79 in (80 × 200 cm) door with leftover for a window. If you're sealing two full doors, get a 2-pack — you % with the multi-pack discount.
Does it really stop insects and dust too? Yes. Anything that was crawling or blowing through the gap stops at the seal. That includes dust, pollen, and small insects.
Do you ship to the United States? Yes. We ship worldwide, with most of our customers based in the US. on orders over $99. Most US orders arrive within 5–10 business days. No surprise import charges — we cover duties and tax at checkout.
