Suite Nayarit is a conductor score for five dances inspired by Mike Curtis's extended stay in Nayarit, the west coast state of Mexico. The dances evoke diary entries from days spent exploring the beaches.
The titles name favorite places: I. Los Ayala, II. Playa Platanitos, III. Manzanilla, IV. La Palma, and V. Barracuda. The addition of an improvising percussionist could enhance performance.
