The Audio-Technica System 10 is a digital 2.4 GHz camera-mount wireless lavalier system supplied without a microphone. Its bodypack transmitter has a cW-style 4-pin locking connection for a compatible lavalier or headset mic. The receiver connects to a DSLR or mirrorless camera with the included 3.5 mm output cable.
It transmits 24-bit/48 kHz audio in the 2400 to 2483.5 MHz band, with a maximum line-of-sight range of 100′ / 30.5 m. Frequency, time, and space diversity help maintain the connection. Up to eight transmitters can be paired with the receiver ahead of time, though only one transmitter and receiver can be used at once.
The receiver’s rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 12 hours of operation. The bodypack uses 2 AA batteries (not included) and provides up to 7 hours with alkaline batteries. The receiver includes a shoe mount, a balanced/unbalanced 3.5 mm output, and a separate 3.5 mm headphone output.
