Techflex Flexo expandable sleeving protects cables, wires and hoses from abrasion, cuts and ultra-violet light. Its expandable braid slips over large connectors and forms to fit cables for installation. This white sleeving is sold in a 25 ft. length.
The size I.D. is 1/4", and the size range (min~max) is 1/8"~7/16". It is braided from .010" monofilament polyester yarn and can withstand temperature extremes from -103° F to +257° F. The braiding has a melting temperature of +446° F. Flexo is described as suitable for automotive applications; the range is available in a variety of colors and sizes for wire color coding.
Cut the braiding with a hot knife to prevent unraveling. It can be terminated with electrical tape, wire ties or heat shrink. For a professional look and to slide over large connectors, Techflex recommends 3-to-1 Ratio heat shrink, also available in a variety of colors and sizes.
