The Half Minute Waltz and March is a woodwind quartet score and parts set written for less experienced players, especially double-reed players, to explore ensemble literature suited to their technical and tonal development.
The standard instrumentation is flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon. A second flute can substitute for the oboe; a second clarinet or bass clarinet can substitute for the bassoon. These options offer a more versatile performing ensemble.
