The Tycoon Dancing Drum Signature Series 13 Inch Djembe brings traditional West African design and tone together with professional-quality craftsmanship. Its shell is made from sustainably harvested Siam Oak hardwood, an environmentally friendly alternative to solid-shell drums that retains an authentic sound and feel.
Sharp, defined inner contours help produce deep bass, rich mid-tones and crisp highs. Unbleached goat skin rests on a perfectly round, even bearing edge, while a triple-ring mounting system and non-stretch 5mm rope hold the skin securely to help retain the desired pitch. A rubber foot protects the drum shell and the surface it is played on.
The Signature Series is available in 9-inch, 11-inch and 13-inch sizes. These djembes attracted attention at the 2007 NAMM and were used in the annual Remo drum circle, where Remo’s drum circle coordinator placed them in the front row.
