Viva Mariachi is an authentic mariachi-style band feature by John O'Reilly, presented as a conductor score and designed as a crowd pleaser.
In the quick-tempo section, trumpets take the spotlight and can be positioned out in front of the band. A contrasting slow section shifts to a minor key, with the melody playable by a trumpet soloist.
The piece runs 2:30 and is correlated with Accent on Achievement, Book 2, page 23.
