Wavecor WF152BD13 6" Black Coated Paper/Glass Fiber Cone Midwoofer 4 OhmThe WF152BD13 is built around a Balanced Drive motor structure, delivering symmetrical magnetic force to greatly reduce even-order harmonic distortion for cleaner sound reproduction. A copper cap on the center pole lowers inductance and stabilizes its variation across coil position, improving linearity and high-frequency behavior. The new black-coated cone, made from a paper and glass fiber blend, offers improved consistency and structural stability, supported by a rigid die-cast aluminum chassis with extensive venting to reduce air turbulence and audible distortion. Both the voice coil former and center pole are vented and feature dual flares on the pole piece to reduce compression and noise during large excursions. A heavy-duty black fiberglass former minimizes mechanical losses, while the large 1.25" voice coil and integrated aluminum field-stabilizing ring provide excellent power handling and low distortion under high-output conditions. Additional features include a low-loss suspension for enhanced transient response, black-coated motor parts for improved thermal performance, a rugged CONEX spider for long-term durability, and gold-plated terminals for secure, corrosion-resistant connections.
