The WindTech Mic-Muff MM-12 is a fitted faux-fur microphone windshield designed to reduce ambient wind noise with a wide range of consumer and professional microphones. Its 3/4″ fur diffuses wind, and the acoustically transparent design has no negative effect on frequency response.
The cylindrical windshield measures 48 x 48 x 202mm (front x rear x length) and is designed to work with Azden SGM-2X microphones. It slips over an existing foam windscreen or, on some models, directly over the microphone, and stays in place with a touch-fastener closure. On average, it provides up to 20db of wind-noise reduction in a 20 mph wind.
WindTech SG and BG Series foam windscreens are designed to work with Mic-Muff windshields as additional performance or replacement options. Package weight is 0.1 lb; package dimensions are 12 x 5.2 x 0.5″.
