Suitable for a wide range of audio engineers and applications, the MG Series from Yamaha lets you shape your sound with confidence, while continually delivering peak performance and a level of sound quality that is in a class all its own.
SPX Effects The MG10XU features a built-in effects (Reverb and Delay) processor that is in the same league as Yamaha's famed SPX effects processor series. This lets you simulate the acoustics of different performance environments such as concert halls and small clubs and add warm, natural ambience to your vocals or instrumental performance.
D-PRE Preamps The preamp is where your sound begins, and determines the quality and character of your overall mix. The importance of this inspired Yamaha to develop the fattest and warmest sounding preamp possible: the D-PRE mic preamp. Perfectly integrated into the MG10XU, the D-PRE delivers more power with lower impedance, meaning the full depth and character of your original sound will be delivered with fat, natural sounding bass and smooth, soaring highs. Having a pure sonic platform to build on will ultimately save you time by eliminating the need for excessive EQing or additional effects processing in order to reach your perfect mix.
1-Knob Compression Compressing with the MG10XU is made simple with 1-knob compression on channels 1-4. This intelligent compressor adds optimally set compressions when you need livelier guitars, punchier bass lines, a tighter snare, or a cleaner vocal sound with the touch of a single knob.
Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch With phantom power, the MG10XU allows you to take full advantage of the greater frequency response and sound quality of condenser microphones. The input channels with PAD switch accept MIC to line level of inputs, and the PAD switch reduces high input signals that often accompany instruments during performance, avoiding the clipping that can seriously affect your mix.

EQ and High-Pass Filters There's nothing more useful than reliable equalization when you need complete control of your tone. The MG10XU benefits from Yamaha's unparalleled experience in designing pro audio gear, 3-band equalizers on all mono channels and 2-band equalizers on stereo channels for refined control of your sound. High-pass filters allow you to eliminate unwanted low-frequency noise, for a smoother, cleaner mix.
Built to Last For recording and installed applications alike, your console can be subjected to all kinds of environmental conditions and hazards. The MG10XU has been redesigned with an emphasis on durability and incorporates practical features that offer flexibility, while ensuring peak performance for many years to come.
Multiple Input/Output connectors
Yamaha's MG10XU uses high-quality Neutrik balanced XLR connectors on mono microphone/line channels and XLR equipped stereo channels. Each of the mono inputs is equipped with a combo jack and accepts both MIC and LINE level signals. The MG10XU is equipped with additional stereo channels with phone jack that accept LINE levels. Two phone connectors accept LINE level signals as stereo. Additionally, two of the stereo channels have 2 RCA connectors and can be used for input from external audio sources such as CD players. In addition to the main stereo outputs (XLR L/R, TRS phone L/R), the MG10XU is equipped with a comprehensive suite of output connectors, including FX OUT (TRS phone), MONITOR OUT (TRS phone L/R), and HEADPHONE OUT (stereo phone) connectors, allowing master outputs to be chosen to suit specific applications such as monitoring or mastering.
